While I busy myself with life, God gently asked me one morning, "What do you mean by half full?"
I have an earlier post on the importance of looking at the blessings in our lives and not focusing on the unhappy part, that we should be able to see a cup half full and not half empty ...
I was surprised when I heard Him. Oops, He's interested in my blog! Better be careful what I'll post next! :)
"Huh?" I responded.
"My cup OVERFLOWS ..." was the reminder, THEN I suddenly remember Psalm 23:
Psalm 23 (English Standard Version)
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Praise the Lord oh my soul, and all that is within me, praise the Lord! Yes, my cup runs over, my cup overflows, with a job, without a job, in good times and bad. I do entrust my soul to a faithful Creator, my Lord Jesus Christ.

It's through the hard times that we see what we're made of, who we really are. Though the loss of my son is so painful I still see with wonder the sunrises and sunsets. I laugh in sheer awe at eagles flying over my head. Our cups ARE full...of life and love.

God bless you Neen. I may not have your courage and I don't wish to find out. But I'm truly thankful to meet someone like you, who share freely, warmly and what words of wisdom you spew. Yes, our cups are full, and our lives abundant. Amen.
If we take time to look around us we will see just how fortunate we really are. When we don't, then we get caught up with a glass half empty.
